SUMMARY OF THE COURSE :

This course is entitled to encourage a conservative approach towards restoring esthetics and learning digital smile designing principles and implementing them into practice by also taking the patient’s choice of esthetics in concern. The participants will learn the tips and tricks in smile designing, smile transfer, video and photo documentation, fabricating the putty index, tooth preparation, impression making , temporization, handling and bonding of laminates. Also modern dentistry has evolved a lot towards the digital world, case presentations with digital smile designing will be displayed and participants will also get an insight about digital smile designing.

MATERIALS TO BE BROUGHT BY THE PARTICIPANTS:

Airotor
15 size BP blade and handle
Any set of Composite hand instruments.

Ceramic laminate preparation burs

Tooth mounted on a typhodont.
Putty and temporisation material.
Gloves and mask

Tools for digital smile design
Photo and video documentation.
How to create the “WOW” effect by an immediate smile transfer.
Smile transformation DEMO on patient.

Introduction to laminates.
Preparing the putty index.
Tooth Preparation techniques for ceramic laminates.
Shade selection
Bonding protocols for ceramic laminates.
Ceramic laminate preparation demo

12.30pm to 1 pm : LUNCH

1 pm to 4 pm: HANDS ON

Fabricating a silicone putty index for a smile transfer.
Tooth preparation for ceramic laminates on extracted tooth, fabricating a laminate and bonding the laminate on the prepared tooth.
