Scientific Guidelines
Scientific committee invites authors to submit their presentations for consideration and inclusion into scientific programme. The presentations are organised based on the subject categories. The best presentations (overall 20 best papers and 30 best e-posters) will be nominated for presentation at the 33rd IACDE national conference to be held at Vijayawada 2018. The students are encouraged to use this opportunity to compete in either paper or poster category that would improve their chances to be shortlisted for presentation at the national conference.
To facilitate the authors with their presentations, the scientific committee recommends the following instructions:
- Each presenter can complete the online abstract submission process at the website www.theceat.com
- The presenter should be an IACDE member and a registered delegate of the conference.
- There is no restriction on the number of papers/posters submitted from an institution. A student cannot be author/co-author in more than one presentation.
- Work should be original, unpublished and should not have been previously presented as national/ international meetings. The uniqueness or innovation of the presentation would be considered significant.
- Presentation should fall under any one of the subjects; Dental materials /Conservative Dentistry/ Endodontics/Esthetics.
- Students are recommended to upload a scanned copy of the bonafide certificate duly signed by the Head of the department.
- Submission of the presentation (paper/poster) at the conference venue or post last date will NOT be possible. Kindly co-operate
- Kindly contact scientific committee for further clarification.
- The scientific presentation must not contain the information of the individuals or institutions involved in the study. For example: "Ethical clearance was obtained from IEC Government Dental College, Chennai." Avoid names of students and guides.
Guidelines for Students Paper
- Abstract should contain the full paper in brief including aim, materials and methods, results, conclusion and clinical significance for original research and Introduction, Case presentation and conclusion for case reports (250 words).
- Each paper can have a maximum of two presenters.
- Time allotted for the presentation is 7 mins and 2 mins discussion. (Time limit will be strictly followed)
- Review papers will not be accepted.
- The Abstract should be uploaded on or before 30th June 2018
- Completed presentations should be uploaded on or before 7th August 2018.
- Presentations should be made in Microsoft Powerpoint (.pptx) ONLY and the file size should not exceed 40 MB. Additional plug-ins will not be entertained. Kindly ensure you submit COMPLETED presentations.
Guidelines for Students e-Poster
- Abstract details is same as paper presentation.
- A maximum of 3 students are allowed per poster. Review posters will be accepted only for the I MDS students.
- E-Posters should be self explanatory.
- Time allotted for the presentation is 3 mins and 2 mins discussion. (Time limit will be strictly followed)
- Animations are not allowed.
- Completed E-Posters should be a SINGLE JEPG image with the file size not exceeding 5 MB.
- Poster should be in landscape mode
- The Abstract should be uploaded on or before 30th June 2018.
- Completed presentations should be uploaded on or before 7th August 2018.
- Printed posters are not indicated.
